Summer Camp – Children of Brick Kiln Workers, Dharwad, Karnataka

On 15th April 2025, we conducted the first day of the summer camp for children at a Brick Kiln site. A total of 30 children participated. We organized games, taught action songs, and shared moral stories. In this way, we engaged the children for two and a half hours.

On the second day, we continued the camp for children at a Brick Kiln site. A total of 28 children participated in the activities.

We organized a drawing and painting session, where each child created their own artwork. After completing their paintings, we invited each child to explain the meaning behind their drawing. It was heartwarming to hear their beautiful and imaginative explanations.

We also conducted some fun games and songs, which the children thoroughly enjoyed. The day was filled with creativity, joy, and laughter.

On 17th April 2025, the final day, we successfully concluded our summer camp organized for the children of a brick kiln site: 28 children participated. The camp was filled with various engaging and educational activities aimed at promoting creativity, awareness, and joy among the children.

Throughout the camp, children participated enthusiastically in craft sessions and paper dressing activities, showcasing their imagination and artistic talents. One of the highlights of the program was a session on “Good Touch and Bad Touch”, which was conducted using child-friendly videos. This session aimed to educate children about body safety and help them distinguish between safe and unsafe behaviour in a sensitive and age-appropriate manner.

To keep the spirit of fun alive, we also organized funny and interactive games, which brought a lot of smiles and laughter to the children. Their cheerful participation reflected the joy and comfort they experienced during the camp.

As part of the closing ceremony, one child from each group came forward to share their happiness, experiences, and learnings from the camp. It was heartwarming to hear their expressions of gratitude and the positive impact the camp had on them.

To conclude, we distributed prizes to the winners of individual and group events. Additionally, to motivate and encourage all the children, we gave similar prizes to every participant, ensuring that each child felt appreciated and valued.
