The preparations for the Feast of St. Don Bosco began even before the Novenas. The boys started decorating the area around the altar and the hall. Invitations were prepared and sent out.
The Novenas, which started on January 22, were well attended, with neighbours and villagers participating every evening. In the meanwhile, the boys in the choir practiced with Fr. Savio for the Feast Mass.
The Feast Mass was set for 11.30 am. As the priests walked in to the strains of the Entrance Hymn, the hall was packed to capacity. The Mass was concelebrated by Fr. Sheldon Fernandes from Tuem, Fr. Francis Silveira, Rector and Fr. Bennett Aranjo, Vice Rector, and Fr. Neville Fernandes, Pilar along with two priests from the minor seminary close by.
Due to the preparations and practice, the Mass went off smoothly. One of the highlights was the Offertory Procession where the boys brought forward a football, a set of books, a guitar, a Bible and the bread and wine.
After Mass, the guests were treated to a sumptuous lunch. The whole event was a time of fellowship and conversations as the participants kept chatting till well after lunch.
